HOPE aims to empower and guide women with fewer opportunities toward securing employment, education, or training, and successfully (re-)integrating them into social and economic systems, by offering high-quality counselling, competence assessment and career guidance to this target group. In this way, the project ties in with the EU projects CORE, COOCOU, SCOUT, DISCOVER and KISS, which have been successfully implemented so far. Women are more often in situations that put them at risk of poverty, due among other things to interrupted employment and part-time work as a result of childcare/caring for others, and low independent income. This situation is further worsened by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, which fosters traditional gender roles. The project is being carried out by the DIE as coordinator in cooperation with partner organisations from Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia and is aimed at counsellors in the participating countries who work with the target group.
CONVOLUT follows on from the EU projects CORE, COOCOU, SCOUT, DISCOVER and KISS, which have been successfully implemented to date, with the aim of adapting the ProfilPASS as a competence assessment tool for people at the beginning of retirement. This target group is in transition from employment to retirement, requiring support during this important transition phase. CONVOLUT aims to inspire people at the beginning of retirement to engage in fulfilling and socially relevant volunteer work by giving them impulses and motivating them to self-reflect on their skills and knowledge for volunteer work. The project is coordinated by the DIE and is aimed at counsellors in the participating countries (Germany, Greece, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, and Spain) who work with the target group and promote their potential for volunteering.
CORE is a project that is linked to the developments related to the ProfilPASS as an instrument for competence assessment. It addresses counsellors working with vulnerable and disadvantaged young adults who are Neither in Employment nor in Education or Training (NEETs) in five European countries, who bring forward their potentials and interests for competence development to help them (back) into education and/or employment. For this purpose, the ProfilPASS is adapted to the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged young adults. Apart from the CORE-toolkit comprising several counselling tools, a curriculum and a manual for counsellors are developed. The project is realized by the DIE as a coordinator in cooperation with partner organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
COOCOU is a project that builds on the ProfilPASS, a German tool for competence assessment. It addresses counsellors working with cognitive impaired people in six European countries who bring forward their potentials and interests for competence development. For this purpose, the ProfilPASS is adapted to the needs of cognitive impaired people, i.e. a Barrier-free ProfilPASS is created. Apart from the COOCOU-toolkit comprising several counselling tools, a curriculum and a manual for counsellors are developed. The project is realized by the DIE as a coordinator in cooperation with partner organizations from Austria, Greece Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
People who know their interests and skills have fewer problems in choosing a job or a training that suits them.
The ProfilPASS is a German tool that assists people in finding out what their strengths and competences are. With the help of an advisor they discover their hidden competences and set their goals. Therefore the ProfilPASS tool prevents people from dropping out of training and education. In this EU funded project we will adapt the tool to the participating partner’s needs and test it with young people and adults.
SCOUT is a project that is linked to the developments related to the ProfilPASS as an instrument for competence assessment. It addresses counsellors working with new immigrants in six European countries who bring forward the potentials and interests for competence development of the new immigrants. For this purpose, the ProfilPASS is adapted and translated into Simple Language. Apart from the SCOUT-toolkit comprising several counselling tools, a curriculum and a manual for counsellors are developed. The project is realized by the DIE as a coordinator in cooperation with partner organizations from Greece, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia and Spain.
